Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Russell Wilson already 'getting me better'

Unsurprisingly, members of the Denver Broncos cannot stop singing the praises of new starting quarterback Russell Wilson, who is, on paper, the franchise's best player at the sport's most important position since Peyton Manning helped the club win Super Bowl 50.

Wide receiver Courtland Sutton remarked last month that "the juice is just different" with Wilson inside the building, and left tackle Garett Bolles later explained how he promised Denver's QB1 that "you’re not going to get hit here."

Fellow Denver receiver Jerry Jeudy missed time due to injury last fall and finished the season with 38 receptions for 467 yards and zero touchdowns while catching passes from Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock. Jeudy spoke with reporters Wednesday about what's different now that he's working with a one-time Super Bowl champion.

"He’s a great quarterback, Hall of Fame quarterback that came into the offense as a leader and [is] getting me better as well," Jeudy said of Wilson, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "So he’s going to help me a lot this year."

Jeudy made it clear such help is already coming away from the field of play.

"Just his energy — always uplifting guys, always motivating guys to go out there and just keep working hard," the 23-year-old added. "Even on those off days, you don’t feel like working or doing anything, he’s the guy that comes up there and gets your mind right for it. So that’s a great guy to be around."
