According to a post on X from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter , the Denver Broncos and veteran wide receiver Courtland Sutton have agreed to a four‑year, $92 million contract extension, capping a breakthrough offseason negotiation. The announcement comes as a after weeks of tense training‑camp talks during which Sutton limited himself in full‑speed drills while the deal was worked out.

The 29-year-old star wideout, who turns 30 in October, will be entering his eight NFL season under a new contract. Since being selected by Denver in the second round of the 2018 draft, he has steadily built a solid resume that now includes 379 receptions for 5,340 yards and 32 receiving touchdowns through the 2024 season.

Sutton’s recent campaign in 2024 with Bo Nix at quarterback was a career year. He hauled in 81 catches for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns, his first 1,000‑yard season since 2019 and his second‑highest total of his career. The extension is a sign that the Broncos and head coach Sean Payton value Sutton’s veteran leadership and consistent productivity, while locking up a proven top target for Nix for the near future.

After making the playoffs in 2024, expectations are high in Denver for a team that already went 10-7 with a rookie QB, who is expected to take a leap in year two. This contract helps solidify a core group of offensive pieces for years to come.
