The Denver Broncos had themselves quite the first Tuesday of August.
It was learned earlier in the day that Denver wide receiver Tim Patrick suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during Tuesday's practice that will sideline him for the entire 2022 NFL season. Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Broncos running back Damarea Crockett took to Twitter to confirm he also has a torn ACL that will cost him all of the upcoming campaign:
It’s Gods plan, we could never understand.

According to Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' website, Crockett suffered his injury during a special teams drill. Patrick, meanwhile, caught a pass during team drills but then fell to the ground after he made a cut to run upfield.
Crockett appeared in 12 games for the Broncos last season mostly on special teams duties. He did, however, record three carries for seven yards out of the backfield.
Jeff Legwold of ESPN noted that the 24-year-old was fourth on the Denver depth chart at running back behind Javonte Williams, Melvin Gordon III and Mike Boone. The Broncos also have rookie Tyreik McAllister healthy and on the roster to serve as competition for Boone during training camp and the preseason.
