Broncos reportedly having trade talks involving Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy

Denver might tell Courtland Sutton or Jerry Jeudy to pack their bags this offseason.

Per ESPN's Dan Graziano, multiple teams believe Denver could trade a WR. It's had talks involving Sutton, Jeudy and K.J. Hamler.

The Broncos probably want to trade one of their wideouts to acquire more draft capital. They have no picks until the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Although the Broncos agreed to sign right tackle Mike McGlinchey to a five-year, $87.5M contract, that's not enough to improve a team that went 5-12 and missed the playoffs for a seventh consecutive season.

Hamler's not an attractive trade option since he has not played an entire season in his three-year career. He missed 13 games after he tore his ACL in 2021 and 10 last season with a hamstring injury.

Sutton and Jeudy could interest a potential trade partner. Sutton, 26, is a former Pro Bowler who caught 64 receptions in 15 games — second most in his career. Jeudy, 23, recorded career highs in receptions (67) and receiving TDs (six) in 15 games.

If the Broncos choose between Jeudy and Sutton, they should keep Jeudy and trade Sutton. Sutton's cap number is $18.3M, per OverTheCap. A Sutton trade before or after the June 1 deadline saves $6.8M-$14.4M.

The Broncos can use the savings to add more playmakers in free agency. Pro Bowl RB Miles Sanders and two-time Pro Bowl WR Adam Thielen are available and would provide an offensive spark, which Denver needs after it finished last in scoring in 2022.
