Safety Talanoa Hufanga's time with the San Francisco 49ers has come to an end. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Denver Broncos are reportedly signing the impending unrestricted free agent to a three-year deal worth up to $45 million, with $20 million guaranteed.

San Francisco selected Hufanga (6-0, 200) in the fifth round (No. 180 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft out of USC. A dynamic and instinctive safety, Hufanga quickly became a standout for the 49ers.

Injuries limited Hufanga's 2024 campaign. He appeared in seven games, starting in all of them, registering 38 tackles, including two for a loss, per Pro Football Reference.

Hufanga, 25, has amassed 219 tackles, including nine for a loss, six quarterback hits, two sacks, 14 passes defensed, seven interceptions, and a touchdown in 49 game appearances (37 starts) over four NFL seasons.

Hufanga earned first-team All-Pro honors and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2022 after a standout season that saw him record 97 tackles, four interceptions, and a touchdown.
