Browns’ Amari Cooper “Good To Go” Vs Texans
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

In case anyone was unsure about the playing status of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper, he is expected to play Saturday in Houston. Cleveland’s number-one receiver is dealing with a heel injury at the moment and was one of several essential Browns players who did not play last week.

Cooper stated he is “good to go” for this weekend’s Wild Card matchup against the Texans. It was also mentioned by Cooper that he could have played last week if it was necessary to do so. But with the Browns locked into the five seed, Cleveland wisely sat players of importance. This allowed anyone with an injury to have an extra week to rest.

The 29-year-old set a Browns single-game receiving yards record just a few weeks ago against Houston. Cooper finished with 265 yards on 11 receptions in Cleveland’s 36-22 win on Christmas Eve. With Cooper ready to go Saturday, another big day could be in the cards. The connection between Cooper and Joe Flacco has been nearly unstoppable. Flacco has been able to get Cooper the ball consistently, allowing him to be the best version of himself. There is a distinct difference between the production of Cooper with and without Flacco. With Cleveland getting this output from the Flacco-Cooper connection, there is no telling how far the Browns can go in the postseason.
