Browns don't expect RB Kareem Hunt to play vs. Raiders

The Cleveland Browns defeated the Baltimore Ravens 24-22 on Sunday to improve to 7-6 and get to within one game of the first-place Ravens in the AFC North standings. That victory came at a price, though. Running back Kareem Hunt went down with an ankle injury during the matchup.

That issue will apparently cost Hunt some playing time.

According to Nick Shook of the NFL's website, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters Monday he doesn't expect Hunt to play in Saturday's home game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders have lost five of their last six contests and enter the weekend at 6-7.

Hunt has struggled to remain healthy this fall, missing a total of five games because of a calf problem. Thus far this season, he's accumulated 386 yards and five touchdowns on 78 carries with 22 catches for 174 yards. Logic suggests backup D'Ernest Johnson will slide up the depth chart for at least the Raiders game.

Johnson tallied four carries for 22 yards with one reception for seven yards in the win over Baltimore.
