Browns Land Andy Dickerson To Fill Offensive Line Coach Vacancy

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has officially filled out his offensive staff after sorting through a number of changes this offseason.

According to multiple reports, including MMQB's Albert Breer who had it first, Cleveland is hiring former Seahawks offensive line coach Andy Dickerson to replace Bill Callahan for the same role. The Browns conducted an interview with Dickerson several weeks back as part of their offensive coordinator search, but wound up selecting Ken Dorsey for the role.

Many speculated that Cleveland's conversation with Dickerson was potentially a preliminary conversation in anticipation for Callahan potentially leaving the team to join his son, Brian's staff in Tennessee. Dickerson also interviewed for the Bengals offensive coordinator job, which was vacated by Brian Callahan.

Additionally, there were reports linking Dickerson to the Patriots after they hired recently fired Browns OC Alex Van Pelt to be its OC. Ultimately, New England wound up poaching Cleveland's assistant o-line coach Scott Peters for their vacancy.

Dickerson has ties to Cleveland and Patriots throughout his coaching tenure. His coaching career began with New England in 2004 as an operations intern, where he won a Super Bowl with franchise.

The Tufts University grad wound up in Cleveland for two years from 2009-2010, where he served as an offensive line assistant for the first time. He spent just those two seasons with the Browns. Dickerson's longest stint with one team came from 2012-2020 where he served as an assistant offensive line coach with the Rams.

He's been with the Seahawks for the last three seasons, serving as the team's offensive line coach for each of the last two.
