The Cleveland Browns did not practice on Monday after the disappointing Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

There were probably a host of reasons for taking the day off on a short week when the Browns face the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.

One of those reasons had to be injuries.

20 players were listed on the Browns injury report on Monday.

Though every team is dealing with injuries now that we are into Week 6, this is not good news for the Browns.

There are a laundry list of ailments players are dealing with.

Offensive Injuries

The offense is very battered right now.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield continues to deal with the injury to his non throwing shoulder from the Week 2 game.

He reinjured it against the Cardinals but continued to play.

After the game, he was seen wearing a sling.

Then, there is the offensive line which has had persistent injury problems practically from Week 1.

Center J.C. Tretter, tackles Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills are listed on the report.

Of course, Kareem Hunt‘s calf injury is also on it as well as Odell Beckham Jr.’s shoulder injury.

Both Hunt and Beckham were injured during the Cardinals game.

David Njoku continues to deal with a knee injury.

Defensive Injuries

The defensive side of the ball is hurting too.

Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has an ankle injury that will keep him out for weeks.

He is likely to go on IR.

Malcolm Smith and Mack Wilson are the other linebackers dealing with injuries.

Takk McKinley, Jadeveon Clowney, and Malik Jackson are mentioned.

Cornerbacks Greedy Williams, Denzel Ward, and Greg Newsome II are also still dealing with persistent injuries.

Rest Day

Hopefully, a Monday rest day is just what the doctor ordered because the Browns need as many healthy bodies as possible to take on the Broncos on Thursday night.

Because both Nick Chubb and Jarvis Landry were out for the Cardinals game, we do not know if they will return in time for Thursday’s game.
