Browns loss to Ravens in final game of season does guarantee Cleveland a bit of good news to come

It is over. The Cleveland Browns’ 2024 season is over and it may be the most disappointing season we have seen since the Browns came back over two decades ago when you consider the expectations.

Cleveland ended their season with a road loss to the Baltimore Ravens, who took home the AFC North with the win over Cleveland. Baltimore returned an interception for a touchdown early on off of Bailey Zappe and ended up winning 35-10.

Now that the season is over for Cleveland, they will be turning their attention to a very crucial offseason. When the Browns get into the offseason, they are going to have a very high draft pick to work with.

Cleveland will pick at worst No. 3 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft

With the loss to Baltimore, the Browns have clinched a top-three pick in April’s NFL draft. Cleveland has a chance to move up to the No. 1 pick, depending on what happens tomorrow. Cleveland needs the Tennessee Titans to defeat the Houston Texans, and the New England Patriots to defeat the Buffalo Bills.

For the last three years, the Browns have had to give up their first-round pick to the Texans as part of the Deshaun Watson trade. Cleveland has paid Houston their dues for that pick and is set to select in the first round for the first time since 2021.

Cleveland has multiple ways they can go with this selection. Deshaun Watson has done enough to prove he isn’t the franchise quarterback, but the franchise still remains tied to him until they can financially let him go. It is possible we see the Browns pick a quarterback in the first round, or they may opt to go the veteran quarterback route.

Another way the Browns could choose to go is the best player available, which could potentially land them a player like Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter to pair with Myles Garrett.

There is no way to get around it, the 2024 season was about as disappointing as it gets. If the Browns are going to turn this thing around again, they just hit on this top-three pick that they have secured.
