Browns' Mack Wilson 'probably' out for season with knee injury

Cleveland Browns linebacker Mack Wilson could be out for the season.

Wilson suffered a knee injury during a Tuesday practice, and insider Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer told 92.3 The Fan's Ken Carman and Anthony Lima that the 22-year-old "probably" will require season-ending surgery to fix the problem.

(Comments on Wilson are at the start of the interview)

Cabot added that Wilson is getting a second opinion from orthopedic surgeon and specialist Dr. James Andrews.

Wilson seemed less than optimistic about his prognosis for the 2020 campaign when he addressed the topic via Twitter:

"I really do not know the extent and how long this will be, but I’ll just make sure we defer to the medical staff," coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters on Wednesday, per Mark Inabinett of AL.com

A fifth-round pick out of the 2019 NFL Draft, Wilson earned criticism from Cleveland fans, teammates, and Stefanski on Monday when he accidentally sent running back Nick Chubb into the concussion protocol via a horse-collar tackle.
