The Cleveland Browns have elevated defensive tackles Sam Kamara and Chris Williams from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. The team announced the moves Saturday, giving Cleveland more depth in the defensive line for its Week 6 game.

Both players were elevated for the second consecutive week. The Browns made the same move before facing the New York Jets, and the repeat decision comes as Cleveland manages several questions along its defensive front.

Defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. has been ruled out with an ankle injury, while Mason Graham is listed as questionable with knee and ankle issues. Graham returned to practice Friday after missing the previous two sessions, leaving his availability uncertain heading into the matchup.

Kamara, 6-foot and 272 pounds, is in his fourth NFL season after playing college football at Stony Brook. Originally signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2021, he has appeared in 27 career games, including 18 with Cleveland since 2022.

Williams, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 298 pounds, is in his fifth NFL season out of Wagner. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts in 2020 and has appeared in 45 games across stints with Indianapolis, Chicago and Cleveland.

The elevations give the Browns more options to rotate defensive tackles against Baltimore, particularly if Graham cannot play. Cleveland will need its interior defenders to hold up against the Ravens’ physical rushing attack and help limit opportunities for backs to reach the second level.

The Browns enter the game at 3-2, while Baltimore is 4-1, making the divisional matchup an important early test. The extra defensive line depth could prove useful over four quarters, but the team’s final inactive list will determine how much help Kamara and Williams can provide.
