It is Thursday, January 27, 2022.

Cleveland Browns fans now know, after days of speculation, that a member of the Browns front office will be leaving to become the Minnesota Vikings GM.

That is our leading story on Thursday’s Browns Nation news and notes.

1. Ramifications of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Being Named Vikings GM

Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, the Browns VP of football operations, has officially been named the new general manager of the Minnesota Vikings.

One Browns fan had an interesting take on the hiring of the Adofo-Mensah, an Ivy League graduate.

She wrote:

“I’m not used to the #Browns FO being talented enough to be poached by other teams.”

Here are the ramifications of this hiring for the Browns.

First, the team gets two compensatory picks, both in the third round, in the 2022 and 2023 NFL Drafts.

Secondly, this will increase the noise surrounding a potential trade for Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Adofo-Mensoah and the future Vikings head coach may want to start fresh with a new quarterback.

Coach Stefanski came from the Vikings and was Cousins’ offensive coordinator.

It is important to note that there is nothing beyond speculation about this or any other Browns quarterback roster moves.

2. Myles Garrett’s Hilarious Take On Drug Testing

While Myles Garrett is not disputing the importance of drug testing, he always seems to find the humorous side of it.

During the season, he joked that he was stopping the sleeveless look because of the automatic yet random drug testing that accompanied #SleevelessMyles.

Now he has another idea comparable to the benefits of a frequent shopper’s card at a store.

On Wednesday Garrett wrote:

“We need a punch card reward system on the drug tests…like every 10 negative tests y’all gotta give us a Bitcoin or pay for a vacation or something”

Chalk one up for #EntrepreneurialMyles.

Happy Thursday Browns Fans!
