Browns’ Shedeur Sanders Makes Decision Away From NFL

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders hasn't had the season he had hoped for as of yet. Sanders has not made an appearance in the regular season, as he began the year as the Browns' third-string quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel, and is now the team's backup.

Sanders was selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Browns after an impressive senior year with the Colorado Buffaloes. In 2024, Sanders completed a nation-leading 74.0% of his passes for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns with 10 interceptions.

While he has yet to see the field in his NFL career, Sanders has continued to be a great member of the Cleveland community.

Sanders has shown his kindness off the field since being drafted by the Browns. On Oct. 14, he partnered with Drive Point Auto Group, a new and used car dealership in Ohio, to announce a car giveaway, according to the company's Instagram.

On Monday, one day after the Browns fell to the New York Jets 27-20, Sanders took to his personal Instagram to share a video of him calling the winner of the car giveaway.

"Your kids nominated you to get this free car we're giving out," Sanders said to the winner on the phone. "We definitely hear you're a hard-working woman; we just want to help you out."

"Yes, sir," the woman responded. "Oh god, I could cry."

The winner said her car's engine blew out recently, and she had been walking and taking Ubers to work because of it. With this wonderful call, Sanders warmed the hearts of many around the Cleveland community.

The Browns will be back in action on Sunday when they take on the Baltimore Ravens at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
