The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made two roster moves , activating guard Sua Opeta from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list and waiving punter Jake Julien. The moves coincide with the signing of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Sua Opeta, a 28-year-old guard, went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft but signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as a rookie free agent. After spending time on their practice squad, Opeta bounced on and off the Eagles’ roster, earning a spot on their active roster in 2023. He appeared in 13 games, starting six at guard. Opeta signed a one-year contract extension with the Buccaneers in the offseason, committing to the team through the 2024 and 2025 seasons. With Opeta’s activation, the Buccaneers bolster their offensive line depth.
