Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ all-time leading receiver Mike Evans suffered a broken collarbone during the team’s 24-9 loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 7.
Evans is set to have surgery on his broken collarbone this week.
“Bucs WR Mike Evans is set for surgery this week to repair his broken collarbone, sources say, a clean break that should have Evans back in eight weeks or fewer.”
This injury adds to the Tampa Bay offense’s injury woes, joining fellow wide receivers Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan, who’ve missed multiple games this season. Fortunately, Emeka Egbuka, the team’s leading receiver, had recovered sufficiently from a hamstring injury to participate in the Lions game.
