The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have set the NFL world abuzz with their latest signing, bringing in former Florida Gators defensive tackle Desmond Watson as an undrafted free agent.

At a staggering 6’5” and 464 pounds, Watson is a literal giant on the field, and his addition to the Buccaneers' roster has sparked a viral frenzy on social media.

The NFL’s official X post, showcasing Watson alongside Buccaneers star Vita Vea (6’4”, 347 pounds), declared, “The @Buccaneers signed an absolute unit in @GatorsFB DT Desmond Watson,” accompanied by an emoji that symbolizes toughness.

The Buccaneers have notoriously been one of the few teams to effectively counter the infamous “Tush Push” play, and fans on X are buzzing that Watson and Vea could form an immovable wall against such tactics.

Replies to the post highlighted how excited Buccaneers fans are to see Watson in action, particularly alongside Vea.

"Bucs D-line gonna be a THICC brick wall," wrote one fan.

Bucs just turned their D-line into a literal fortress--opposing QBs better bring their running shoes," added another.

"They might be able to stop the tush push," commented one user.

"Good luck running up the middle on them," said one user.

"That's a whole lot of power coming to Tampa," said another.

"Absolute unit gonna wreak havoc, no doubt" chimed in another.

A lifelong Buccaneers fan, Watson also brings hometown pride to the squad, having played the final game of his collegiate career with the Gators at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

With this colossal addition, the Bucs are fortifying their defense and capturing the NFL spotlight.
