Buccaneers hosted intriguing ACC defensive tackle prospect as the draft approaches

Orhorhoro is considered one of the most heralded run-stopping interior defensive linemen in the draft.  The 6'4", 295-pound lineman became a regular starter in 2021 for the Tigers.  He started 39 games for Clemson from 2021-23.  During that span, he totaled 84 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and 9 passes defended. 

Orhorhoro projects to be a Day Two pick for the draft by many outlets.  The Buccaneers hold picks in the second round (number 57) and two in the third round (89 and 92).  As such, if the projection holds, the Buccaneers could have a shot at Orhorhoro when they're on the clock on Friday, particularly at pick number 57. 

Adding a player like Orhorhoro could give the Bucs the ability to move around players like Calijah Kancey and even Vita Vea while having a solid run defender in the middle of the defense.  Giving Todd Bowles options to create mismatches and confusion is never a bad thing. 

We'll find out if Orhorhoro is in the team's plans when the draft gets officially gets underway on April 25.
