Buccaneers Insider Floats Detail on Todd Bowles’ Future

Cries for Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles’ firing probably won’t cool down until the team lifts a third Lombardi Trophy under his watch. Buccaneers insider Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported on Wednesday that Bowles looks in control of his coaching staff, another sign the beleaguered coach is here to stay. “Bucs coach Todd Bowles has met with ownership and is having meetings with his coaches individually,” Stroud said  via X.com . “Things seem to be progressing as normal but at minimum, there will be staff changes. Perhaps significant ones. But there’s developments every day in the league, so everything is fluid.” The Buccaneers took a concrete step from Wednesday and fired offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard. He simply didn’t pan out compared to recent offensive coordinators Liam Coen and David Canales — both of whom are head coaches for playoff teams now. Bowles looks more poised to form his staff for 2026 rather than go looking for a new head coaching job himself. There will be numerous names to watch for the offensive coordinator front, and it will behoove Bowles to land the right guy to make the most of quarterback Baker Mayfield in his prime.
