“Tight end Ko Kieft’s fourth campaign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has come to a premature end after he suffered a season-ending leg injury on Sunday in the team’s win over the New York Jets. The Buccaneers placed Kieft on injured reserve on Tuesday amid a series of roster moves.”

The Buccaneers have placed four players on injured reserve recently, with the latest being tight end Kieft, who suffered a season-ending leg injury. The other three players are:
  • Offensive Tackle Luke Goedeke: Placed on IR with a foot injury, expected to miss at least four games, but anticipated to return this season.
  • Guard Cody Mauch: Underwent season-ending knee surgery and will miss the rest of the season.
  • Defensive Lineman Calijah Kancey: Also placed on IR, though the specific injury details and expected return timeline aren’t specified.

Ko Kieft, a sixth-round draft pick in 2022, had been a steady presence for the Buccaneers, playing in 53 of 54 possible games and starting 19 times before his injury. Sunday’s game against the Jets marked a notable performance, with Kieft logging 16 offensive snaps – his most since Week 16 of the previous season.
