Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield and Wife Expecting A Baby

The couple posted family photos holding ultrasound pictures by water that included their dog, Fergus. Their pup wore a bandana saying "Big Brother Fergus" while Mayfield rocked a hat that said "Dad" on it in one of the photos. 

They met at the University of Oklahoma in 2017 through a mutual friend. Eventually, Mayfield and Emily sealed the deal and got married in 2019. Mayfield won the Heisman Trophy in 2017 with the Sooners, then spent the first four years of his professional career with the Cleveland Browns. During that time, he helped the Browns enter the playoffs for the first time in 18 years. 

Since then, he has been traded to the Carolina Panthers, picked up by the Los Angeles Rams, and signed by the Buccaneers, where he is currently 5-7 and in second place in the NFC South.

This past August, the Baker and Emily Foundation was launched by the Mayfields to help those in need. 

"[We're] just trying to raise everybody's equality so they have a better chance at success and staying resilient through adversity," Baker said when launching the foundation. "Just trying to base it off of kind of my story as well, just making sure everybody has the same opportunities."

This season, Mayfield has re-established himself as an NFL starter, currently posting a passer rating of 90.0. He has thrown for 2,790 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He's been a dutiful next-of-kin after future Hall of Famer Tom Brady's retirement.
