Buccaneers QB Tom Brady already planning for 2021 season?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T., even if he hates that term. The 43-year-old is less than a week away from appearing in his 10th Super Bowl and potentially winning his seventh ring.

Regardless of what happens on Sunday between the Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium, Brady made it clear he already has his eyes on his next desired prize.

"As long as I'm playing, I want to improve and get better," Brady told reporters during Wednesday's media availability. "And I think next year is going to be a lot better than this year. I feel like I'll be in a much better place mentally. I'm going to train a lot better this year. Physically, next year, I'll be in a better place.

"I know as soon as this game ends, we're on to next season. We'll get ready for (Sunday), and then start thinking about next year."

Previously, Brady said that he wanted to play until he turned 45 years old, which will happen in August 2022. However, he admitted earlier this week he could remain in the league through the second half of his 40s.

Statistically speaking, Brady has few reasons to hang his cleats up after Super Bowl LV. Per ESPN stats, he finished the regular season second behind only uncrowned NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers (48) with 40 touchdown passes, and the six-time champion was ninth in both passer rating (102.2) and total QBR (72.6).
