Buccaneers Rachaad White Talks Future Plans

If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers want to keep running back Rachaad White in free agency, the front office might want to catch what he said on the “Loose Cannons ” podcast recently. White gave his two cents on how head coach Todd Bowles can tweak his job for a better 2026 and who the Buccaneers should hire as the next offensive coordinator. The fifth-year running back ran for 572 yards and four touchdowns in 2025, so White isn’t a player the Buccaneers will want to see walk in free agency. “I do think he should let somebody else call defense and he’ll just be a head coach,”  White commented on Bowles  during the podcast. “I do feel like he’d probably be better off by doing that so he can focus on really just the head coach job and just trust that he’s got the right defensive staff.” Regarding offensive coordinator, White really wants former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel but would accept Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson or Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken as alternatives. “I ain’t think Robinson was bad, man. I thought he got Bijan [Robinson] the ball in the right spots,” White said. “I’m not knocking Monken; he’d probably be my second choice. I really like Monken because I hear he got that dawg in him, that fire in him.” For more on the Buccaneers from Matthew click here. Then follow him on social media.
