Buccaneers Radio Announcer Back For Team’s 50th Season

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have yet another year of the great Gene Deckerhoff announcing games on their game day radio broadcast.

“Cool news, and not a surprise at all: the great Gene Deckerhoff says he will be back on the call for Bucs radio for the team’s 50th season — his 37th — in 2025.”

Legendary announcer Deckerhoff is iconic for his thunderous calls, notably his enthusiastic declaration of “Touchdown, Tampa Bay!” following every Buccaneers score. During home games at Raymond James Stadium, he further amplifies the excitement with the rallying cry of “Fire the cannons!” – a tradition that coincides with the actual firing of cannons after each touchdown.
