Bucky Irving, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ dynamic RB, is gathering multiple medical opinions on his foot and/or ankle injury from Sunday’s loss to the Eagles. His Week 5 status is up in the air per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Irving left the game in the first half but played through the rest. Garafolo notes Irving hasn’t been ruled out, but his loss would significantly impact Tampa Bay’s offense, given his lead back role.

“Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving is still gathering medical opinions on what’s being termed an ankle and/or foot injury, sources tell [Garafolo and Ian Rapoport]. No one has ruled Irving out vs. the Seahawks, but he’s sore and his status is up in the air as the Bucs return to practice tomorrow,” Garafolo reported.

Irving, the Buccaneers’ 2024 rookie RB, seized the starting role from Rachaad White and entered this season as Tampa’s lead back after a strong rookie year with 1000+ yards and 8 touchdowns.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers head west to take on the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on Sunday, October 5, at 4:05 p.m. Eastern Time.
