Buccaneers Re-Sign Veteran Defensive Lineman
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing back the defensive lineman who has played more games than any other defensive lineman in team history. Yes, fan-favorite defensive lineman Will Gholston is back!

Gholston was a fourth-round draft pick out of Michigan State in 2013 by the Bucs. He is the second longest tenured Buc just behind linebacker Lavonte David.

Via buccaneers.com’s Scott Smith,

“On Monday, the Buccaneers signed 12th-year veteran William Gholston to a new one-year contract, marking the third straight offseason that Gholston has gotten a new deal to extend his impressive career in Tampa.”

Total tackles: 420
Sacks: 19.5
Forced fumbles: 3
Fumble recoveries: 3
Pass deflections: 14
Interceptions: 1

This is the third year in a row that Gholston has signed a one-year deal. Another great job by general manager Jason Licht in bringing back another fan and locker room favorite who provides quality veteran depth.
