The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed JayVian Farr, a rookie undrafted free agent cornerback from Augustana University, to bolster their cornerback position amid a series of of injuries.

Buccaneers cornerbacks Benjamin Morrison and Bryce Hall, along with CB Roman Parodie, were absent from Monday’s practice due to injuries.

Farr’s determination paid off after initially impressing the Buccaneers’ coaching staff at rookie minicamp in May. Although he didn’t make the cut back then, Farr’s recent performance in a five-player workout on Monday morning caught the team’s attention, earning him a spot on the roster. This second chance allowed him to showcase his skills and ultimately land a place on the team.

With several cornerbacks nursing injuries, the Buccaneers prioritized caution in their roster decisions, bringing in additional players to ensure they had sufficient depth for the remainder of the preseason. This strategic move allows them to manage the health of their key cornerbacks.
