The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing veteran offensive lineman Sua Opeta to their practice squad via Greg Auman of Fox Sports.
“Bucs are bringing back veteran guard Sua Opeta to their practice squad after a workout this morning. Familiar, experienced depth to help as they deal with losing Cody Mauch for the season.”
Opeta, the 29-year-old tight end, made a comeback from a preseason ACL tear that sidelined him for all of last season. Although he was cut by the Buccaneers after returning healthy in August, he’s now rejoined the team on the practice squad. Opeta previously started 10 games during his four-year stint with the Eagles from 2020 to 2023 before signing with Tampa Bay last year.
