“Bucs are waiving WR Trey Palmer.”

Palmer, 24, was a sixth-round pick by the Buccaneers in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Nebraska. He signed a four-year, $4,019,296 contract through 2026 and was set to make a base salary of $1,030,000 in 2025.

Palmer, expected to be waived by the Buccaneers today, is likely to be claimed and join another team’s 53-man roster by Wednesday. With two years remaining on his rookie deal, Palmer had a notable rookie season with 39 catches and 3 touchdowns, and also handled punt returns for the Bucs last season. His breakout year came in 2023 under the direction of coaches Canales and Idzik, so keep an eye on Carolina as a potential landing spot.
