Bucs Lose Offensive Coach To Jaguars

The Bucs have lost offensive line coach Brian Picucci to the Jaguars, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on X on Sunday afternoon.

Despite his title, Picucci actually served as Tampa Bay’s assistant offensive line coach under Kevin Carberry, who is the Buccaneers run game coordinator. Picucci will serve as the Jaguars run game coordinator in 2026.

Jaguars head coach Liam Coen worked with Picucci at Kentucky in 2023 and hired him to help coach the offensive line in Tampa Bay during the 2024 season.

Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Brian Picucci from Tampa Bay as their run game coordinator, per source. He and Jaguars HC Liam Coen worked together in Tampa in 2024 on an offense that finished third in total yards, fourth in points scored, and fourth in rushing.

While Brian Piccuci Moves On, Kevin Carberry Will Remain With Bucs

Brian Picucci is the fourth offensive coach to leave Tampa Bay this offseason. Senior offensive assistant Tom Moore retired this offseason at age 87, and head coach Todd Bowles fired offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard and quarterbacks coach Thad Lewis.

On Thursday, Tampa Bay hired former Atlanta offensive coordinator Zac Robinson to replace Grizzard. He is expected to have a say in who replaces Picucci as the assistant offensive line coach, but the Bucs will be retaining Kevin Carberry, who serves as the primary offensive line coach and Tampa Bay’s run game coordinator.

Robinson and Carberry worked together in Los Angeles under Rams head coach Sean McVay. Carberry is one of the Buccaneers’ most valuable coaches and was promoted to his role of run game coordinator last year.

The Falcons did not retain pass game coordinator T.J. Yates and senior offensive assistant Ken Zampese and both coaches have been rumored to possibly join Robinson in Tampa Bay with Yates possibly being hired to fill Tampa Bay’s vacant quarterbacks coach role.

Bowles also needs to fill vacancies at defensive line coach and cornerbacks and safeties coaches.
