After surviving Week 2 against the Detroit Lions with a depleted secondary, one would expect that Week 3 versus the 0-2 Denver Broncos would be less stressful, but with a new week came new injuries for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Star nose tackle Vita Vea left the last game early with an MCL sprain, further depleting the Bucs’ defensive line, which was already without defensive lineman Calijah Kancey due to a calf injury.
In addition to missing some beef on the defensive line, Tampa’s secondary is still expected to be without All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr and No. 4 cornerback Josh Hayes, who will likely be out for a few more weeks on top of No.3 cornerback Bryce Hall likely missing the rest of the season.
Despite those injuries on the defensive line, it seems that the Bucs’ starting right tackle, Luke Goedeke, could be returning from a concussion this week, which would be a welcome addition after Aidan Hutchinson recorded five sacks by himself just a week ago while facing backup Justin Skule.
