The Arizona Cardinals approach their final game of the 2023 season, and one tweet from safety Budda Baker is driving speculation among fans that it could be his last in the desert.

"Last ride Sunday at State Farm stadium. I Appreciate the loyal for all of your support. The 3 Haters, aye I appreciate y’all too. It’s Love either way. " he wrote on Twitter.

It's unclear exactly what Baker meant by "last ride" as it could pertain to either the final home game of the season or perhaps the final game of his Cardinals career.

Last offseason, Baker requested a trade after the Cardinals reportedly denied to make him one of the highest-paid players at his position.

Prior to training camp, the Cardinals re-worked Baker's deal to satisfy the safety, which included various bonuses that went into effect for 2023 and 2024. He had no guaranteed money left prior to the restructure.

Baker is set to earn $14.2 million in base salary in 2024 with a cap figure of $18.5 million according to OverTheCap

Baker was recently selected to his sixth Pro Bowl, becoming the third player in Cardinals franchise history to make six Pro Bowls in his first seven seasons.

With one game left in 2023, Baker has 77 tackles.
