Despite popular belief, the Buffalo Bills have no shortage of stars, specifically on the defensive side of the ball.
Yes, all the focus (or at least most of it) will lay with No. 17 Josh Allen, and understandably so. It's a quarterback driven league, and an elite quarterback is the most valuable thing you can have in today's NFL.
However, Buffalo has studs on defense. Particularly defensive tackle, DaQuan Jones, who was named a player primed for a bounce back season by PFF.
"Jones was terrific in 2023, with is 82.9 overall grade slotting 12th among defensive tackles to play 200 or more snaps," writes Bradley Locker. "The issue, though, was that Jones tore his pec, preventing him from exceeding that playing time. A healthy Jones could showcase his long-term talent, truly creating a name for himself amid a Buffalo defensive line with no shortage of skill."
Jones missed 10 games in 2023 with the aforementioned pec injury. However, staying healthy hasn't been a proven issue with the veteran defensive tackle. He had played in 16 or more games in each of the previous five seasons. The Bills will need Jones to be at the top of his game to help the Bills plug the run game and open up opportunities for their pass rushers.
