Despite having a less-than-stellar performance last week against the Baltimore Ravens, there's no denying that Buffalo Bills' quarterback Josh Allen is off to a blazing start to the season. The offense was humming for three out of four matchups with their new "everybody eats" mentality, and Allen has yet to throw an interception.
For his efforts, Allen has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for the first month of the NFL season.

Allen's stats through the first month: 69.3% completion percentage, 814 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, zero interceptions. Allen has also added 106 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Allen's nine total touchdowns lead the AFC, despite the fact that he did not account for a touchdown in Week 4 against Baltimore.
According to Buffalo Bills PR, he also led the AFC in passer rating (116.5), touchdown to interception ratio (7-0). His Week 3 performance stands above the rest, when he became the first quarterback in NFL history to complete 75% of his passes, throw for 4+ touchdowns, have no turnovers, take no sacks, and lead his team in rushing all in the same game.
Allen continues to stack up the accolades, but the only accolades that matter to him are winning. I'm sure he'll be the first to tell you that. Buffalo is in the middle of a tough stretch that includes a road test this weekend against a challenging Houston Texans team, and then will head to New Jersey to play the Jets.
The offense as a whole will look to turn the page on a tough outing, and particularly on a botched trick play, and get back to their scoring ways against a Houston defense that has allowed the third-most passing touchdowns in the league with eight, even though they have held opposing quarterbacks to a low 57.3% completion percentage while facing the Colts, Bears, Vikings, and Jaguars.
