The Buffalo Bills need to address the outside linebacker/EDGE rusher position this offseason, with the defense moving from a 4-3 to a 3-4 scheme under Jim Leonhard, while multiple players are free agents or recovering from significant injuries. Joey Bosa and A.J. Epenesa are testing the open market. Meanwhile, Michael Hoecht suffered an Achilles tear in Week 9, and Landon Jackson suffered an MCL and PCL tear in Week 10.
According to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Bills have signed Bradley Chubb to a three-year, $43.5 million contract, worth up to $52.5 million, including $29 million guaranteed. Since the Dolphins designated the two-time Pro Bowler as a post-June 1 designation, his release was not processed until Wednesday, the start of the new league year. Chubb aims to revive his career in Buffalo after missing the entire 2024 season due to a knee injury and having a shaky 2025 campaign.

Bradley Chubb had a shaky 2025 campaign, posting fewer tackles, tackles for loss, pressures, quarterback hits, sacks, and forced fumbles than in 2023. He totaled 47 tackles, eight TFLs, 48 pressures, 20 quarterback hits, 8.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles across 17 games. The Dolphins attempted to trade Chubb at the NFL Trade Deadline but ultimately decided not to.
