Commissioner Roger Goodell made the announcement during a Wednesday press conference. The NFL selected the Bills as part of the league’s new rules for Hard Knocks. At the NFL Annual Meeting earlier this year, the league ruled that playoff teams can be featured on Hard Knocks. The new rules, per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, are as follows:
Buffalo fit the new criteria and here they are. They are coming off a 13-4 season in which they captured the AFC East crown for the fifth consecutive season. Their season ended in the AFC Championship Game, a 32-29 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Bills enter the 2025 season once again one of the favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season. Buffalo has never won a Super Bowl. That’s well-documented, but with reigning league MVP Josh Allen under center, Buffalo always has a shot.
As for the show itself, second-year wideout Keon Coleman and his lively personality could be worth some significant airtime. And as usual, expect plenty of story on undrafted free agents hoping to crack the 53-man roster.
The Bills will appear on the training camp version of the show. But then, there’s the in-season edition. That will feature the four teams from the NFC East: the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders and New York Giants.
