2022 Buffalo Bills win total: Is anyone better than Buffalo?

Buffalo had another strong regular season last year. They won the AFC East again and then punished the rival Patriots in the playoffs winning 47-17.

Then they lost to Kansas City in one of the best playoff games in recent memory. The Chiefs seem to have their number, but that is sports, right? I am not sure there is a better team in the NFL right now, and that includes the Rams who they play to start the season (and are the defending Super Bowl champs).

Buffalo does not have an easy schedule, but other than that opener they are going to be favored in probably every game but three. This offseason they added to their defensive line (edge rusher Von Miller) and secondary (top pick Kair Elam). With better health, they should be even deeper than a season ago.

Unless your crystal ball says QB Josh Allen is going to get hurt or revert back to his erratic rookie season form, it is hard not to like what the Bills are cooking right now.

Buffalo Bills Win Total

Over 11.5 (-135)
Under 11.5 (+115)

The Pick: Over 11.5

I definitely agree with the sentiment that the Bills should exceed this win total. The premium on that side is saying the markets do too, but it is not too hefty given the quality of the team. I am not looking to play futures with that level of payoff but that doesn't mean it isn't the right side.

If you decide to back Buffalo, the key is going to be having patience as their schedule is significantly frontloaded. They are visiting the champs to start the year and have three of their first four games on the road. They also have a revenge trip to Kansas City before their bye week. They might drop half of their first six games or be 4-2 (maybe even 2-4).

After that, they should be favored in all of their remaining games, including a visit to Cincinnati to close the season. That game is likely to be for the top spot in the AFC and should be a fun one on Monday night (unless you think the Bengals were a one-year wonder - I am still trying to figure that one out).

With the unbalanced home/road schedule due to the move to 17 games, the Bills have one more road game this season, but I don't see that knocking this team down too much. That game against the Bengals is the only one with much doubt in the second half based on what we know right now. Other road games down the stretch (at Detroit, New England, and Chicago) should not be too taxing.

Buffalo has a whopping six primetime games this season so you are going to get to see a lot of them. That just adds a little extra incentive to back that over. This way you have a little something extra to root for when you are tuning in.
