The 2026 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports for all of this year's top prospects.

Florida's Caleb Banks is one of the top interior defensive line prospects in this year's class, with an impressive blend of size and athleticism that's rare for his position. Those physical traits were on display at the Senior Bowl this year, as well as the NFL Scouting Combine, and he could play his way into first-round consideration throughout the rest of the predraft process.

Here's everything NFL fans need to know about Banks heading into this year's draft:

Caleb Banks' Vitals

Height: 6-6

Weight: 330

Age: 23

Caleb Banks' Strengths

Banks is the kind of player who tests his opponents’ mental toughness the moment he steps off the bus. His massive frame presents a ton of challenges for opposing blockers, and he’s got rare movement skills for someone so huge. He’s comfortable moving laterally or exploding upfield off the ball, allowing him to explode into the backfield or pursue down the line from the backside. His unique size and physical traits give him scheme versatility, allowing him to attack from a wide range of different fronts and alignments. Banks has an impressive motor that shows up on long-developing plays, where he refuses to give up on his pursuit to the ball.

Caleb Banks' Weaknesses

There’s still some technique work necessary for Banks, who needs to be more consistent with using his length and hands to shed blocks once he’s engaged at the point of attack. As is the case with most interior defenders with his height profile, it’s a constant challenge for Banks to maintain effective pad level against shorter blockers who come to the fight with a lower center of gravity. For such a physically imposing and impressively athletic player, Banks’ production nearly nonexistent in 2025 after flashing big-play potential the year before.

Final Analysis

He’s not a finished product just yet, but with the rare size and physical traits Banks brings to the table, he’s got unlimited upside at the next level. If he can be more consistent with his pad level and stack/shed technique, Banks’ combination of athletic ability and effort should allow him to make a big impact, and his versatility makes him a strong fit in any NFL scheme.
