Caleb Williams details what he'd bring to the Bears

As the days go by, the 2024 NFL Draft gets closer, with analysts and insiders sharing scoops about who will go No. 1 next April 25. Caleb Williams is widely considered the favorite to be the first name called that night to join the Chicago Bears.

Amid speculation about the Bears' quarterback situation and rumors suggesting Williams doesn't want to go to Chicago, the USC standout opened up on what the Bears will get if they draft him.

"A person that cares for his teammates," he said, via Bears reporter Courtney Cronin. "Some of y’all may have seen, some of y’all may have not. I try to take care of all my guys no matter if you’ve been fourth on the depth chart or you’re the star player. So I care for my teammates and the other part is I’m a fierce competitor as you may have seen after some games."

Williams is one of the most hyped quarterbacks the NFL has seen in the last 15 years or so. This draft class is full of talent at his position, yet not many people doubt that he'll be the No. 1 overall pick in April.

Many reports suggested he would resist a move to Chicago but Williams has shut them down and shown his willingness to play for the NFC North franchise.

It remains to be seen what the Bears decide to do with the No. 1 overall pick since they still have Justin Fields on the roster. They have a big decision to make and Ryan Poles isn't ready to let fans know which path he'll take.

Either way, it seems like the Bears will be ready to compete next season. It would be shocking to see Williams going to a different team, but that's still in the cards for Poles, Matt Eberflus and Co.
