Caleb Williams turns heads at Summer Smash Festival

Caleb Williams has had an eventful 2026 so far. He led the Chicago Bears to a Divisional Round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Jan. 18. Although they lost 20-17 in overtime, he earned respect across the NFL and proved his doubters wrong.

The quarterback completed 330-of-568 passes for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven turnovers. His strong 2025 season earned him selection as the cover athlete for Madden 27. It also put the Bears in the spotlight with seven primetime games next season.

Williams impressed during OTAs and minicamp. He showed he is already in season form and ready to take the franchise to even greater heights. The 24-year-old has also received praise for his maturity and leadership.

Williams attended the Summer Smash Festival on Friday. He joined rapper Lucki on stage at one point int eh show and received a huge ovation from the crowd.

The music festival organizers will run the event from Friday to Sunday at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. They will feature 75 artists and three stages across the venue.

Williams will have the next few weeks free and could make a few more public appearances. He and the Bears will reconvene in late July for the start of training camp. They will open the 2026 regular season on the road against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on Sept. 13. The team’s home opener will be in Week 2 versus the Minnesota Vikings.
