Cam Newton Gives Opinion on Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Fued With Noah Lyles

Over the last week, the feud between Dolphins' standout receiver Tyreek Hill and American gold medalist track star Noah Lyles has picked up steam once again.

After Hill ran a career-best 10.15-second 100-meter in a race last week, he called out Lyles, saying the American track star couldn't beat him.

Lyles responded and the two had set up a race in New York's Times Square, but then announced he would be withdrawing from the race due to personal reasons.

However, former NFL quarterback Cam Newton recently gave his opinion on the matter on his podcast "4th & 1." Newton believes Lyles saved Hill from the embarrassment of losing by withdrawing from the race and pointed to math for his explanation.

"I mean the math has to match. You (Hill) got a 10.1(7), which was impressive," Newton said. "I can't do that. But if you ask me, 'Can he beat Noah?' No! Especially when the numbers say that Noah ran (100 m in) 9.7(9)."

Newton is alluding to Lyles' personal best 100 m, which he ran in 9.79 seconds back in August of 2024. The gold medalist is ranked No. 1 in the world in the Men's 100-meter.

Hill's and Lyles' feud has been going on for a while now after Lyles questioned the "world champion" status of NFL and NBA stars since the two leagues only play in the United States.

Since the two athletes have gone back and forth, taking shots and looking to schedule races with each other to finally determine which star is the fastest.

For now, it'll have to wait. But, I'm sure the two speedsters will find another time to race and settle it once and for all.
