Cam Skattebo is facing a demotion from the New York Giants due to his recent issues with ball security.
The Giants intend to give running back Najee Harris a more significant role for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, according to Jordan Ranaan of ESPN. Though all the team’s running backs are likely to have a role, Skattebo’s is set to be reduced following some recent turnovers.
Expectation is there will be a change to the Giants RB rotation, per sources. Najee Harris is likely to have a larger role with Cam Skattebo downgraded but still part of the mix after the fumbles. All 4 RBs (Harris, Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary) should be active.

Skattebo has fumbled four times in five games so far this season. He and the Giants have been fortunate in that he has only lost one of them, though the one lost fumble came in the form of a costly overtime turnover in Week 5 against the Washington Commanders that may well have cost his team a win.
Harris has been used on a limited basis so far this season. He has 27 carries for 97 yards, but has not been the featured back at any point this season.
Obviously, Skattebo must fix his fumbling problems to be the featured back again. Until he does, the ambitious statline he hoped to put up this season will be impossible.
