Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward has some simple plans for his first summer as an NFL quarterback.
As the Titans wrapped up their third and final day of minicamp on Thursday, a reporter asked Ward if he had any special plans for the next six weeks of his summer before training camp begins. The No. 1 overall pick had a response that was popular among fans in Tennessee.

With Ward being the top overall pick in the draft, expectations surrounding him are through the roof. Titans head coach Brian Callahan and general manager Mike Borgonzi have insisted that Ward will compete with Will Levis for the starting job, but all signs point to Ward being the top guy.
Ward threw 39 touchdown passes in 13 games with Miami last season. He won the 2024 Davey O'Brien Trophy as college football's best quarterback. Reports have suggested he looked sharp during minicamp.
Like any other rookie quarterback who starts, Ward will be facing an uphill battle if he wins the job. There is a big adjustment from college to the pro game, even when you come from an elite program like Miami.
The best way Ward can set himself up for success is by nailing the cerebral part of the game. He sounds serious about that, which is a good sign for the Titans.
