Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward drastically improved his NFL draft stock in his lone ACC season.
Ward transferred to the Hurricanes after two years at Incarnate Word and two years at Washington State.
In his lone season with the Hurricanes, he led Miami to a 10-3 record, finishing as the No. 3 team in the ACC. Miami's success helped Ward end the year at No. 4 in Heisman Trophy voting, with six first-place votes.
As many believe Ward will be playing in his final collegiate game on Dec. 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET in the Pop-Tarts Bowl, mock drafts have been pouring in with his name at the top of the list.
In a recent mock draft by The Sporting News, Ward was predicted to land with the New York Giants as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
During the 2024 college football season, Ward recorded 36 touchdowns and 4,123 yards with a 67.4 completion percentage. He also added four touchdowns and 196 yards on the ground.
He set program records in passing yards and passing touchdowns while leading the nation in total passing touchdowns.
The Giants' quarterback room currently holds Drew Lock, Tommy DeVito and Tim Boyle. New York came into the year with Daniel Jones as the starter, but heading into Week 16, it will be Drew Lock under center.
Lock signed with the Giants ahead of the 2024 season, agreeing to a one-year, $5 million contract.
He's played in five games this season, posting two interceptions and 414 yards with a 51.1 completion percentage.
