Cam Jordan has made it clear who he wants the New Orleans Saints to draft with the 9th overall pick.
Shortly after he announced his return to New Orleans for his 15th season, the veteran defensive end shared on X/Twitter that he wants the Saints to use their first-round pick on Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
Jordan responded to a tweet asking, "What position group would you like to see be drafted at the #9 spot?" He quickly replied with a video of McMillan making a one-handed grab and captioned it, "I mean if you askin".

McMillan has garnered plenty of attention as one of the top wide receiver prospects and is projected to be the second receiver off the board, behind only Travis Hunter. During his three seasons in college, the 6-foot-4 receiver brought in 213 receptions for 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns. McMillan's 2024 season was highlighted by a dominant Week 1 performance, catching 10 passes for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns.
McMillan's game is built around his size and length. The former Wildcats receiver uses his big frame to box out defenders and high-points the ball at an elite level. He has excellent footwork off the line and uses his long legs to help create separation down field.
The Saints' receiver room is currently led by rising stars Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. While both players have earned plenty of praise, the team lacks a presence between the hashes. Given recent injuries, adding a bigger receiver makes sense for New Orleans.
There have been many debates over what position the Saints should target at ninth overall, but McMillan has emerged as a fan favorite due to his ability to take over games and the team's need at the position. At just 21 years old, McMillan could provide immediate help while being a key piece to the team's future, and an endorsement from a Saints legend is a great way to kick off his NFL career.
