Can anyone take down the Eagles in the NFC?

Can anyone take down the Eagles in the NFC?

Can anyone in the NFC beat the Philadelphia Eagles?

At 8-0, the Eagles look like one of the best teams in the NFL. The team's takedown of the Houston Texans Thursday night proved that they're going to be the toughest outs in the playoffs come January.

They've got a star quarterback in Jalen Hurts, a prolific rushing attack, one of the game's best receiving cores, a stout offensive line, one of the scariest front sevens in football and a stingy secondary.

What's not to like? Well, if you're a team in the NFC, a whole lot.

The Eagles continue to look like the favorite for the top seed in the conference, and they've dispatched of the probable second seed, the Minnesota Vikings, already this season.

The other division leaders are the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks, and neither of those teams look like they could hang with the Eagles for four quarters at present.

The San Francisco 49ers are vying for a playoff spot, and at full strength, maybe they'd give the Eagles fits? It's not likely with Jimmy Garoppolo behind center, though.

The only other teams that could really push Philly are the division rivals Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants. The Giants might be a year ahead of really being able to hang with a team in January, but the Cowboys could be your answer.

The big difference from when Philly dispatched Dallas earlier in the season is Dak Prescott. The QB missed the two team's first battle this season, and the Eagles won't have an easy time taking on a team that knows it well with Prescott behind center.

Dallas also has a fantastic defense spearheaded by guru defensive coordinator Dan Quinn that could give Philly a problem with its pass rush.

It's not to say it'll be easy for Dallas, but of all the teams in the NFC, they've got the best shot right now of taking on the Eagles.
