Can Bijan Robinson Be The 2025 Rushing Champion?
© Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons took Robinson with the eight pick in 2023 to the confusion of many people wondering why they would take a running back as high as they did. Robinson would break on to the scene right away with 976 rushing yards and 487 receiving yards along with 8 total touchdowns as a rookie.

In his second season he improved drastically with 1,456 rushing yards and 431 receiving yards accompanied by 15 total touchdowns. He already has 23 total touchdowns after two seasons and looks to improve as he gets deeper into his career.

Robinson was third in the NFL in 2024 in rushing yards, behind Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry who both had two of the best seasons in NFL history. Robinson came into the league out of Texas with a lot to prove and so far he has accomplished just that in his short stint in the league.

With a brand-new quarterback and some changes all around the lineup, there is a higher probability for touches for Robinson in 2025, and he is also a good receiving back and has the possibility of being a 2,000-scrimmage yard guy. The Falcons have done a lot in the offseason to get Robinson some help as well as open up the game for Drake London and Darnell Mooney.

In 2025 the Falcons are a high favorite to take home the NFC South and finally get back to the playoffs. Robinson has all the skills and tools to lead the league in rushing this year and have a big season overall.
