Can former Georgia QB find a new NFL home or is this the end?
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm was released by the Washington Commanders, now meaning he's looking to stick with the fourth NFL team of his career.

Fromm, 25 years old, originally began his NFL career as 2020 fifth-round pick by the Buffalo Bills, also spending time with the New York Giants. The Giants signed Fromm from Buffalo’s practice squad back in 2021.

He spent the 2021 season with the team, but was not re-signed. He entered his most recent landing spot with the Washington Commanders practice squad in Oct. 2022. He primarily served on Washington’s practice squad from 2022-2023.

Fromm saw action in three games, competing 27 of his 60 passing attempts for 210 yards with 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. He averaged just 3.5 yards per throw.

With numbers like the ones he has put up and the lack of overall productiveness he's had in the small opportunities that do present themselves, many are wondering if the curtains have effectively been drawn on Fromm's professional career.

His time at the NFL level has trended in a much more negative direction than that of what was a successful, memorable college career at Georgia. He was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs from 2017 to 2019, helping bring the squad an SEC championship win and a College Football Playoff appearance during the 2017 season.

Whether or not he gets a chance with another team will be something to keep an eye on, though it's easy to see the situation going either way at this point.
