Cardinals HC Gannon gets honest postgame on team’s struggles following 23-20 loss to Seahawks

Gannon on what Cardinals need to improve on after lost to Seahawks:

“We’re not doing enough to win the game. I mean, point blank. Our run efficiency is not where it needs to be, generating explosives not where it needs to be, penalties are killing drives, sacks are killing drives, it’s everybody. And it starts with me. We have to find some solutions, so we can play a little better. When we get it rolling, we can put points on the board, I know that, we just haven’t done it for four quarters.”

Gannon has done a stellar job of shouldering the blame for the team not performing, not just offense, but all three phases of the game. The Cardinals nearly overcame a 14-point deficit vs. the Seahawks but shouldn’t have been at the position if the team didn’t put themselves in that position.

The short week doesn’t help, as Gannon point out, but he doesn’t use that excuse as Seattle had to battle through the same short week. The third-year Cardinals coach says the team has take a hard look at itself and states that the coaching staff and the roster needs to adapt.

He mentions that if the team keeps making the same mistake, that isn’t on the players but on the coaches. Gannon wants better from himself and more efficient offense moving forward.
