The Cardinals have improved every season under the guidance of Jonathan Gannon ever since coming to Arizona two days after the Eagles’ Super Bowl back in 2023. Jumping from a 4-13 record in 2023 to an 8-9 record in 2024 shows how the Cardinals have made massive progress in multiple areas of their game in just two years.
When the NFL released its 2025 NFLPA Report Cards, the Cardinals finished dead last, although they received an A grade for their head coach. Gannon was ranked 8th in the NFL as Cardinals players felt that Gannon had been highly receptive to the locker room feedback on the team’s needs, and 92% of Cardinals players feel Gannon uses their time efficiently. (Credit: NFLPA) With all of these traits adding up, it’s obvious that Gannon can get the most out of his players.
If Jonathan Gannon can continue his upward trend with the Cardinals from year after year and keep getting the most out of his roster, not only can Arizona be on the verge of a playoff birth, but Gannon could find himself amongst the NFL’s most elite coaches and maybe even an NFL Coach of the Year award.
